Virtual Session on Statistical Inclusion of Refugees, Asylum-Seekers, Internally Displaced Persons, Returnees with Protection Needs, and Stateless Persons
11 September, 2025

The inclusion of displaced persons in national censuses and surveys is a fundamental condition for generating reliable, comparable, and disaggregated socio-economic data. This information is key for the design, implementation, and monitoring of public policies and programs that promote the well-being, inclusion, and protection of these populations.
In the context of the Comprehensive Regional Protection and Solutions Framework (MIRPS), Member States have made concrete commitments related to the collection and use of displacement data, as part of efforts to strengthen national protection systems and advance durable solutions.
