
Issuance of the Unique Population Registry Code (CURP) through the Civil Registries
In order to ensure that people in need of international protection have access to all the rights to which they are entitled, as well as to all the services offered by the state, the National Population Registry and COMAR, since they do not have sufficient presence in all the states of the country, have worked in coordination to prioritize the issuance of the CURP through the Civil Registries, thus guaranteeing the proper integration of this population into society.

2021 – Present

Results
The states of Nuevo León, Baja California, Tabasco, Quintana Roo and Chetumal issue CURPS through their registry offices to the asylum seeker population.
It is planned to implement this same action in the following states:
State of Mexico, Querétaro, Chiapas, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Puebla and Coahuila.

Linked MIRPS Commitment
Guarantee the right to identity of persons requesting refugee status, refugees and beneficiaries of complementary protection, through the issuance of the CURP -temporary and/or permanent- and establish coordination mechanisms between RENAPO, INM and COMAR to strengthen management, implementation and training.
